Senior Adult Class
Teacher: John Price Assistant: Mike Matthews Taught by John Price, ordained baptist minister, certified and licensed electrician and plumber. Our class consists of both younger and older senior adults of both sexes. Some are married couples and some are single. I use the Lifeway "Bilbe Studies for Life for Senior Adults" Sunday School book and the Bible to teach from in a lecture format with input from class members. We have several get togethers and take several class trips on the bus during the year. We believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God. Everyone in our class is friendly. We visit our sick members & help out with their needs. Some members are full of tall tales. |
Pioneers Class
Teacher: R.L. Foster Assistant: Shane Nash R.L. Foster teaches the all male class known as the Pioneers Class. Although our class originally represented the oldest members of our church, that has changed as we now have all ages of men young to old. We use the Lifeway study material provided to us by the church. Our goal is to make each lesson taught, something which can be applied to our everyday life. With the combined wisdom of our older class members , open discussion is prevalent. |
Sanctuary Class
Teacher: Patrick Williams Our class is a class that ranges from young singles to senior adults and every age in between. We meet in the sanctuary. Primarily, our lesson format is lecture with minimal class participation, but input is always welcomed. Right now, we are in a study of a Lifeway series called The Gospel Project. These lessons weave the story of hope in Christ through the entire canon of the Scriptures. Although we have a wide range of ages in our class, there is a great spirit of love and hunger for the Gospel. We would love to have you join us! |
Women of Faith
Teacher: Susan Sanders Assistant: Evelyn Musick The Women of Faith Sunday School Class was started several years ago for women of any age (divorced, single, widowed) who desired to attend a Sunday school class but who were not comfortable attending a ‘mixed’ class. Over the years, members have come into the class and moved to other classes as their life has changed. Some come back for a season, and then move on for a season. Our class is small which allows us to be ‘real’ with each other and the challenges we face as women of faith. One of the prevailing themes of the class is that what we study and learn should be relevant to our lives and enable us to live the victorious Christian life our Savior died for us to have. Each Sunday, we should leave with tools to make our lives different from when we entered. |
Adult Sunday School 2
Teacher: Todd Freshwater Assistant: Danny Hunt The Adult 2 Sunday School class is a class of all ages and family situations. Our purpose is to take the Word of God and apply it to daily living. We study how to improve our witness, our understanding of God's Word and our personal relationship with Him. Members receive quarterly materials that they can take home to study and prepare for future lessons. Participation in weekly lessons is encouraged but not required. You will NEVER be put on the spot or asked to do anything that you haven't already volunteered for. We support each other with prayer and share our prayer requests every Sunday. Come prepared to have fun and learn about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We meet in the choir room and would love for you to be a part of our class! "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John16:33 |
