Are we quick to judge a person's transgression while excusing our own? Do we find ourselves in the perilous pool of denial when addressing our sins? Human nature says to blame another, to pass the buck, to overlook your own guilt and failure. However, the words of wisdom from above tell us to remove the speck from our eye before telling others about the plank in their eye. (Matthew 7:1-5)
Proverbs once again inspires and challenges the child of God to be slow to anger and quick to forgive transgressions. Instead of strategically utilizing our microscope of judgment toward our brother, why not put ourselves under the scrutiny of the Master Surgeon's scalpel of truth? He has the ability trim away the scar tissue of hurt and injury which has built up on the heart of His children. Will you make an appointment with the Master Surgeon today?
Proverbs 19:11 (NKJV) The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.
