![]() A secular proverb seeks to state a general (not absolute) truth. The proverbs in The Book of Proverbs are divine inspiration because they came from God. They are true and inspirational guiding us to eternal life. A repeated theme in this book is Fear of God, meaning the submission to the will of God or a reverence to God. Plus how to gain wisdom. Proverbs gives you great insight on how to live your life according to what God wants, how to gain wisdom and much more. The Book of Proverbs seem to have a little bit of everything including: Anger, Anxiety, Bitterness, Jealousy, Grief, Sadness, Healing, Hope, Delight, Rejoicing, Love, Hate, Panic, Shame, Spirit, Family, Friends, Neighbors, Strangers, Enemies, Longevity, Strength, Our Body, Bones, Head, Gray Hair, Face, Eyes, Ear, Month, tongue, lips, neck, hand, heart, foot, blessed, cover, conceal, discerning, discretion, glory, even, straight, humble, meek, integrity, wholeness, learning, wisdom, prudence, purity, righteous, understanding, abomination, backslider, brutish, stupid, cruel, deceit, evil, fools, drinking, gluttony, perverse, pride, reproach, scoffers, scorners, shame, sin, traitor, vanity, vengeance, wicked, justice, injustice, poverty, wealth, work, work habits, occupation, business, borrowing, lending, inheritance, possessions, property, lottery, farming, war, authority, creation, water, birds, animals, weather, storms, silver, gold, jewels, city, towns, principles, commandments, counsel, guidance, discipline, good, grace, knowledge, law, mercy, reputation, your name, peace, rebuke, scold, truth, lies, the word, and much more. Another part of this challenge is, share at least one of the verses in that chapter. Put it on social media, if you want, share what it means to you. Or you can text it to your friends! Books can be purchased from the church office for $10.
